This is the perfect alternative to the traditional summer camp for teens who are looking for an unforgettable and challenging experience.
Beyond the physical challenges, teens also learn how to work as a team, communicate effectively and embrace leadership in challenging situations. And most importantly, they’ll have a blast exploring the wilderness with new friends.
Course Details
This course is for students entering 8th through 10th grade in the upcoming Fall.
Students must have completed a MOI course or demonstrate relevant experience for approval.

What you’ll learn
Essential outdoor skills like reading a map and building a fire. But this is no ordinary camp! Teens here push themselves with challenging activities like working within a team towards common goals, planning a backpacking trip and learning to climb vertical walls of ice.

What to expect:
This course is for students with some prior experience in the outdoors. This can be on a previous MOI course, other programs or with family adventures. At a minimum, students should be able to pack their day pack and prepare themselves for a day in the wilderness.
We start at our Base Camp reviewing and learning fundamental outdoor skills to prepare for ice climbing on a glacier and a challenging backpacking trip in the Talkeetna Mountains.
