Held at our exclusive campus in the stunning Matanuska Glacier and Talkeetna Mountains, the course combines expert instruction with hands-on learning in a breathtaking setting. You’ll be guided through practical exercises and real-world scenarios, giving you the skills needed to navigate the wilderness safely and confidently. What to expect:
This workshop takes place at our exclusive campus, nestled in the stunning surroundings of the Matanuska Glacier and the breathtaking Talkeetna Mountains. Enjoy the perfect blend of adventure and practical survival skills training as you immerse yourself in the wilderness.
You’ll stay in shared canvas bell tents, thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and relaxation after a day of learning. Each tent accommodates a maximum of four guests, providing a cozy and intimate environment. Start each day with a hearty breakfast at camp, fueling you for the day’s survival skills workshops. If we’re based at the campus for the day, lunch will be set out for you to enjoy. If we venture out into the wild, we’ll pack nourishing lunches to keep you energized. After a rewarding day, return to camp for a refreshing appetizer and a signature drink, followed by a comforting, hearty dinner around the campfire.
Whether you’re mastering fire-building, learning navigation skills, or making new friends under the Alaskan sky, every moment is designed to be an unforgettable experience. All while balancing the rugged beauty of the outdoors with the comforts of simple yet thoughtful accommodations.

Schedule:
August 21st, 7:00-10:00PM: Feel free to arrive at our campus to check in and meet the rest of the folks you’ll be spending the weekend with. Drinks and light snacks will be provided. Feel free to bring your own dinner for that evening.
August 22nd and August 23rd: Both days will be filled with in field workshops to dive into the necessary components of operating in the outdoors. Workshops will be taught by our professional guides and take place both at our base camp and in the backcountry.
August 24th: We will put our skills to the test with a long day hike before coming back to campus to unpack what we learned over the weekend.
